Fitzsimmons Racing is proud to announce a new partnership with Wingrove Park, one of Victoria’s premier boutique thoroughbred breeding operations. Based in Lancefield, Victoria, Wingrove Park has built a strong reputation for producing high-quality racehorses that have gone on to achieve success at the highest level. This new collaboration will see Group 1-winning trainer Tim Fitzsimmons take charge of Wingrove Park’s racehorses.
Having recently relocated from Singapore, where he established himself as one of the most respected trainers in the region, Tim is bringing his expertise and success to Australia. His newly refurbished training facility is located in Bendigo, making it the perfect base to develop and prepare Wingrove Park’s elite equine talent.
"We are appreciative of the opportunity to work with Joe and Daira Vella from Wingrove Park in training their racehorses, and to be part of their incredible legacy," said Tim Fitzsimmons. "Their commitment to breeding excellence is outstanding, and we are excited to develop their horses into top-level performers. With our new training facility in Bendigo, we have the ideal setup to give these horses every chance of success."
Wingrove Park has a long history of breeding and racing success. The farm has produced multiple winners and stakes performers, including horses from the prolific Villa Igea bloodline, which has yielded Group 1 winner and stud stallion Jonker, as well as Group 2 winner and Group 1 placegetter Fiscal Fantasy. Other notable performers from Wingrove Park include Royal Symphony (4th in the 2017 Cox Plate and the Caulfield Guineas), Fair Trade (dual Flemington & Hong Kong winner) and Portal (11 wins) among others.
With a commitment to excellence, Wingrove Park continues to breed for success, focusing on quality pedigrees, athleticism, and durability. This dedication to producing elite racehorses aligns perfectly with the expertise of Tim Fitzsimmons, making their partnership a natural progression toward even greater achievements in the racing industry.
As part of this partnership, shares are now available in two promising two-year-old fillies bred by Wingrove Park:
- Magnus x Her Command (2yo Chestnut Filly) – A compact, powerful filly built for speed, she comes from the esteemed Cotehele House and Eight Carat bloodlines, which have produced champions like Danewin, Commands, and Octagonal. Her sire, Magnus, is a consistent top-10 Australian stallion and has produced multiple Group 1 winners.
- Ready for Victory x Flying Spark (2yo Chestnut Filly) – A strong, well-framed filly with excellent movement, she comes from a black-type family featuring Stakes performers Sparks Fly and Palentino. The filly is also related to Sparks Alight, who won the inaugural Bendigo Golden Bracelet race. Her sire, Ready for Victory, was a Golden Slipper fourth-placegetter who trained on to contest the Caulfield Guineas, and has already produced a Group 3 winner in Yellow Sam.
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of Wingrove Park’s next generation of racing stars. For more information or to secure your share, contact Fitzsimmons Racing today!
