Australian Tim Fitzsimmons, 37, joins the Kranji horse racing training ranks with the benefit of having a wealth of experience that spreads across both his native state of Victoria and Singapore.
Starting in the industry when he was 18, Tim has built up an impressive CV after gaining experience with several leading yards in Victoria, namely those of Bart Cummings, Lloyd Williams, Greg Eurell and Jim Conlan.
The Singapore adventure came when horse trainer Cliff Brown asked Tim to join him at his relocation from Australia to Kranji in 2007. Tim had just returned from Perth as the travelling foreman to Perth Cup runner-up Bay Story for UK trainer Brian Ellison, when Brown approached him for the job in Singapore.
Then 25-years-old, Tim accepted right away, quickly becoming an integral part of Team Brown Singapore as Cliff’s assistant trainer. The pair enjoyed many successes together with none bigger than Debt Collector’s numerous heroics and Gilt Complex’s win in the Group 1 Dester Singapore Gold Cup in 2017, among others.
Singapore is a unique and exciting place to own a racehorse. The prize money is outstanding with maidens worth $75,000 through to multiple Group races ranging from $175,000 to over $1,000,000. That, along with the owner’s rebate system, makes Singapore one of the most affordable places to own a racehorse in the world. Tim attends all the horse sales and is also able source tried horses. If you have an existing horse that you would like trained in Singapore, contact Tim directly and we can arrange everything. Contact us for any information on horses for sale
